Dive Guide Class! Want to Dive More? Looking to become a Dive Professional? Enroll in our SSI Dive Guide Program! When you enroll in Bamboo Reef’s Dive Guide Program you will: Hone your dive rescue and buddy skills, the first step towards being a Dive Leader. Learn how to provide support and guidance to certified divers during new dive experiences (beach, night and deep dives). Become the “local expert” sharing your diving experience with certified divers new to an area. Prerequisites: Be 18 years old. Own complete set of professional quality SCUBA equipment* Have 50 logged dives Hold Advanced Adventurer and Stress and Rescue certifications (or equivalent) Have a physician’s clearance to dive Current 1st Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Administration certification. 2014 Fall Schedule: Wednesday October 22nd 6pm – 10pm (classroom), Thursday October 23rd 6pm – 10pm (pool), Wednesday October 29th 6pm – 10pm (classroom), Thursday October 30th 6pm – 10pm (pool), Saturday November 1st 10am – 8pm (ocean – three dives including night), Saturday November 8th 9am – 3pm (ocean – three dives including deep). Tuition $350.00, Books and Materials $75.00, Certification Fee: $85.00 *All Dive Guide candidates must provide their own mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves, exposure suit, hood, regulator with alternate air source attached, dive computer, spg, compass, tank, BC, weights and weigh system (integrated with BC is fine), cutting device, surface marker buoy with 150 foot reel, and a surface signaling device (whistle).
