Divine intervention Luke 1:68 “Blessed be the Lord God - TopicsExpress

Divine intervention Luke 1:68 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people.” After John the Baptist was born, his father Zacharias prophesied (preached) saying, “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people.” He was saying, “Glory to God or praise the Lord for the divine intervention He has bestowed upon us.” Years ago, it was 1973, in January, God visited me. I was lost and on my way to hell. It was not that I was living worse than anyone else; I simple had not as of yet come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. When I heard the truth at a local Bible preaching church, God convicted my heart and I responded to Jesus Christ in a positive and sincere way receiving Him as my personal Saviour. About a year later God called me to preach the gospel and directed my life concerning preparation and occupation for life. To express to you the amount of divine interventions I have experienced in the ministry since that time would take a good size book. Zacharias said, “God visited us.” That is just what we need today, a visit from God. America greatly needs another great awakening! We are quickly going the wrong direction; a wakeup call is due. Millions of families need a visit from God to get them straightened out. People are in trouble, America is near the bottom, marriages are falling apart, substance abuse is soaring, young people are heading for a very tough world, etc. There is a God that can and will help if we so desire! There is a practice called prayer and prayer answering God! The Bible says that the, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” If we will confess our sins to God, go to church, pray, and live within His will; He will answer. At what point are we going to honestly see our need for Him? Pastor Wilson 5-3-2014
