DivingNSW is looking forward to attending the Asia Pacific Diving Invitational 6 - 8 October Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre Wellington High Performance Aquatics are hosting some of the worlds top divers this weekend in an international competition that brings together 72 divers from New Zealand, Australia, China, Singapore, and Brazil. Australian Olympic medalists Matthew Mitcham and Melissa Wu join an international lineup of competitors including Brazilian Olympic diver, Hugo Parisi. The competition runs from Sunday 6 October to Tuesday 8 October at Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre, with all sessions open to the public. The full schedule and admission details are available on the Wellington High Performance Aquatics website: whipa.org.nz Australian Matthew Mitcham, 25, was the 2008 Olympic champion in the 10m platform, having received the highest single-dive score in Olympic history at the Beijing games. Melissa Wu, 21, was the youngest Australian ever to win an Olympic medal in diving, winning a silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing for the synchronized 10m platform, diving with partner Briony Cole.
