Do Everything in Moderation King James Version 1 Corinthians 9:25 - And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 1 Timothy 2:9-10 English Standard Version (ESV) 9 likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, 10 but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works. 1 Timothy 2:9-10 King James Version (KJV) 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. So if we take just these two scriptures a woman should wear modest apparel(plain dress), with shamefacedness(should they cover their face as they are a shame of it?) They should not braid their hair? Should not wear gold, pearls or any costly array. (So going on that woman are not to wear a gold wedding band, pearls in the shape of a necklace, ring, or earrings, or any thing in their hair such as a hairbow, hairpin, or anything like that with a gold look, or have pearls or any diamonds, or costly array in their hair, on their body or their dress.Plain shoe with no buttons, buckles, heels or the like.Should wear their hair long and down at all times, never pull it up. If all of that sounds a little far fetched for you, well some people believe this way, they want to bind women with heavy burdens too heavy to bear and ones they would not even try to live themselves. I thank God that he looks on the inside heart of a human and not the outside, that is what he judges, not how a man or woman looks. I call people who believe and preach this junk, clothes line preachers. I just wonder how many people they have cast out of the church, because they wore too much make up for their liking. Like my oldest sister when she went to the Church of God, they would not let her join the church because they told her, she would want to wear makeup when she got older. So she left the Church of God and went to the Baptist church, where she knew she could wear makeup if she wanted to. Well now she doesnt believe in the baptist of the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and doesnt believe in talking in tongues, and doesnt believe the Bible teachings except what the Baptist church teaches. Who is going to answer for this to God? My Mom got kicked out of the church because, she didnt have a job outside of the home of taking care of 7 kids, and couldnt pay her membership fee. Who is going to answer to God for that? Another person didnt have a pair of hose to wear to church and wore bobby socks instead and they turn her out of the church. Who is going to answer for that to God? None of these examples of what went on was an example of Gods Love. If someone wears a pair of shorts and you dont like it take it up between you and God, dont go around telling others about it, if you do you are gossiping about that person. Every person has to work out his or her own salvation with fear and terribling before (man) to get approval? Or every person has to work out his or her salvation with fear and terribling before God, (Not Man). One person maybe able to wear light makeup and feel no quilt about it at all. (Unless some long nose self righteous christian decides it is a sin.) If it is all right for God than what is it to you? One may be able to wear womens pants or blue jeans and feel no quilt about it at all. What is it to you? If they need conviction over it leave it to God, dont you touch it.
