Do any of you follow Joy Bauer from the Today Show? Some of her advice is ok, but I am very disappointed in the diet advice she gives on fats and counting calories. Healthy fats are necessary for health and come from coconut oil, butter, whole milk, ghee, etc. Vegetable oils like canola, soy oil, corn oil, and low fat or non fat foods should be avoided. Reduced fat means more sugar and its the more sugar that you want to avoid! Heart disease and cancer are both high in this country partly due to the fact that weve gone low fat and our sugar intake is sky high. Any nutritionist who tries to tell you to count calories, drink soy shakes to lose weight, or eat low fat is giving out really bad info that will ruin your health.
