“Do not move the ancient boundary or go into the fields of the fatherless, For their Redeemer is strong; He will plead their case against you” (Proverbs 23:10-11 NASB). Thieves and cheaters find themselves opposing God. God defends those who have been cheated, misused, and abused. God’s innate attribute of justice cannot allow these matters to be overlooked. This is especially true when it is His people that are afflicted (cf. 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10). Thieves and cheaters need to make things right with God before judgment comes upon them. For our part, we must always remember getting a little extra money or material goods is never worth opposing God. (For historical and cultural information on this proverb see the notes on Proverbs 22:28.) jeremysprouse.wordpress/2013/08/28/proverbs-for-the-day-2310-11/
