Do people really think that being divisive and dividing up our - TopicsExpress

Do people really think that being divisive and dividing up our community is the best thing for our children and our schools? What is that really teaching our children? The election is a mere 4 days away and I am continuously surprised by the actions of those who claim to have our childrens best interest at heart. Do they really think that our childrens best interest is served by cutting $2 Million Dollars out of our school districts budget? Do they really think that our childrens best interest is served by electing school board members who care only about their childrens education and not the education of all of the kids in our district? I have tried my best this election not to force my views on others and to just share my views with others. I have supported my candidates and respected the rights of others to support theirs. However, as the election draws closer and closer, I have become more and more concerned that those candidates that dont have the best interest of all the children will win and that the lies that they and their supporters are spreading about our districts financial needs will also take down Measure R. If you are leaning toward Amy Koo and Herb Neumann, please take a closer look at them. And make sure that what you have been told is the truth. What do they trully stand for? How have they conducted themselves this election period? Who is funding their campaigns (who is the American Dream Fund and why are they hiding behind a PAC?)? They talk a lot about transparency but their campaigns have been anything but. What their real reasons are for running? And most importantly, why dont they support Measure R? If they really are all about doing the best for our children, why would they want to cut $2 Million dollars from our districts budget? I, for one, am hoping that this election brings Belmont and Redwood Shores communities closer, not farther apart. And I support candidates from both Belmont and Redwood Shores (Velschow, Hegde and Bhopale) that want to bring our communities together. I hope that you will join me in supporting both Measure R and the candidates that will make our district and our communities stronger.
