Do we have one God or many gods?......the real issue is not PDP or APC but our belonging together as one family, one nation so that I can travel through Nigeria, move freely from here to any part of the country as I did in 1985..... Archbishop Obinna My first primary school was in Potiskum, then in Bornu State. It was so beautiful in the 70s to travel from the North to the South East by rail, without fear. Muslims and Christians peacefully co-existed. Who was President did not matter because the Country was on its way to greatness. Since then, the military have experimented, the politicians have politicised and the Nation is in Crises. My problem is not who becomes President in 2015 because none of the men contesting can perform any magic in 4yrs. The problem, like Archbishop Obinna asked Gen Buhari; if we believe in One God, then we are One humanity and One Nation but if we see our selves otherwise, my Archbishop will never be able to travel freely from Owerri to Maiduguri. It wont be because of the Economy or Corruption but Religious extremism/intolerance . Im 45yrs old, I have survived despite bad leaderships and corruption (which I believe has to end)) but nothing has traumatised me like going into Church on Sundays and seeing the police and Bomb Squad screening vehicles. The place that was once a Sanctuary of peace now a possible target by people I once called brothers. Its another election year. The tension is rising, we are divided along ethnic and religious lines. The arguments on the streets are very bitter. Some interest groups are threatening to unleash Hell. Boko Haram is killing with impunity. Win or lose, the stage is set for blood letting . Fellow Nigerians, lets watch our actions and utterances. Let love of Country and Neighbour prevail. The principal Actors usually live to contest another election while the misinformed minds may die. If truly we believe in one God and One humanity, lets act in love and let there be peace. #NoViolence #VoteNotFight #GodhelpNigeria @okeybakassy
