Do you all remember when I posted a status last week and said, I wonder if my wantok Pres. Bill Clinton would be willing to pick me up some liklik kumu and a few kaukau at the Market while he is in Goroka tomorrow?? Well, Clinton didnt make it to PNG.... and now a low level PNG diplomat has written a letter blasting me by leveling an absurdly ignorant accusation stating that, ...without awareness of the level of risk and national security concerns, you posted last week on social media... about a now aborted visit of an important US asset to PNG. Whoever entrusted you with that information, did so in the knowledge that it remains with you. You failed that person, the Independent State of PNG and the United States and compromised the safety and security of that important dignitary and that of his delegation, thru divulging information of heightened confidentiality. This dignitary has a level 1 security clearance rating, equivalent to a serving president... The safety of that person alone can trigger US going to War, hence the heighten level of security of that information and only for need to know people. WHAT? The fact that Clinton planned to visit PNG was public knowledge, announced well in advance by the Clinton Foundation, and reported widely in the world press as early as July 16... FOUR DAYS before I posted a random status joking about Clinton and kaukau. I am not responsible for Clinton being unable to visit PNG.... Ukrainian rebels shooting down MH17, mechanical issues with Clintons own plane in Indonesia, and the AIDS summit in Melbourne are the reasons why Clinton didnt visit PNG as planned. But apparently... at least in the mind of this diplomat... we narrowly avoided an international crisis and I have failed the two nations I hold beloved all because I expressed a hypothetically desire on my personal FB for my wantok to pick up some kumu for 40t at the Market in Goroka. Ridiculous.
