Do you allow your trials to strengthen you? WE CAN REJOICE, TOO, WHEN WE RUN INTO PROBLEMS AND TRIALS, FOR WE KNOW THAT THEY HELP US DEVELOP ENDURANCE. AND ENDURANCE DEVELOPS STRENGTH OF CHARACTER, AND CHARACTER STRENGTHENS OUR CONFIDENT HOPE OF SALVATION. ROMANS 5:3-4 NLT Just because you become a Christian does not make you free from trials. However, unlike people who do not walk with God, problems work to your benefit, not to your destruction. Of course, you must cooperate with God and face truth about yourself and challenging situations. When you agree with the things that God is revealing to you, the truth will set you free. God is saying that problems and trials can make us stronger and give us energy and determination. Do not complain and rebuke all your problems, embrace them. Learn to understand your problems and see them from God’s perspective. Nothing is “by chance” and nothing “just happens”. Our life paths are strategically ordered by the Lord and He has a reason to have you on the path that you are on. Most of us are concerned with our comfort, but God is concerned with our character. He wants you to develop strong character. Suffering produces patience, endurance, and steadfastness, which help develop strong character. When you are strong in character, you will be able to wait upon the Lord and remain confident. In this instruction from the Lord, you are told here to rejoice in your problems. To rejoice in something is to express a high degree of confidence in someone or something. To rejoice is to boast about something and consider it to be exceptionally noteworthy. The problems in your life can become a positive force if you understand the purpose in which you encounter these various trials. Learn to thank God for everything that you encounter, even your problems. Relax in His arms and remember that no matter what your circumstances are, you can find peace in His presence.
