Do you feel that you have lost focus in your career search? Are you committed and willing to change the way you manage your transition options? We are pleased to advise that members of our Networking group have found new opportunities. We have openings for three (3) new members who are in need of focus in their career search and committed to being accountable. This group is by invitation and/or by referral ONLY. Please send your resume to dafriedga@gmail for review. DO NOT CALL. NO MULTILEVEL MARKETING - If anyone brings up the subject to sell another person in the group, they will be thrown out on the spot. Please note, if you are not accountable to your career search, we will ask you to leave the group. If you are with the group for more than a year, we are doing you an injustice by enabling individuals vs.assisting with accountability. We suggest you look for another group or create your own group. JAWS - JOB ACCOUNTABILITY AND WEEKLY STRATEGY Group - Not JUST ANOTHER WHINING SESSION. 1. Meetings are at Einstein Bros. Bagel 2622 Holcomb Bridge Rd., Alpharetta, GA (Target Shopping Center). The meeting Every Wednesday, starts at 7:30 am, not 7:45 or later. Get there at 7:15 if you want food. I understand to some degree weather and traffic, but.. No exceptions will be taken from now on except for medical reasons. 2. Everyone will do an elevator speech when we have a new attendee and/or asked by the facilitator. All new attendees will do an elevator speech. a. Elevator speech should be clear concise and include key works. No more than 20 seconds. First timers I expect to be longer. b. Speak up. If we cant hear you, we cant help you. c. Do not mention your previous position. Answer the question, What can I do for you. d. Write it down and practice. After your 3rd time attending your elevator speech should be perfect or near perfect. Remember be flexible for the audience you are talking to. e. Include target companies or Companies Like. f. All elevator speeches will be critiqued. Dont take it personal and there is no Right way or Wrong way. Modify it for your comfort zone, but convey the information so that the person you are presenting to knows how to assist you. 3. What have you been doing for the past week? a. Where have you been networking? i. What was your objective? Did you meet your objective? ii. Did you waste your time? iii. Would you recommend anyone else attend? b. Any interviews - Telephone or in person? i. Did you ask for the job? ii. How would you rate the interview? iii. What could you do differently? iv. How did you follow up? c. Other things you did 4. What are you scheduled to do for the coming week a. Networking b. Interviews c. Tasks assigned by the JAWS Group the previous week. i. What is the status? ii. Did you meet your objectives? If not, why not. If you dont meet your objectives after two weeks, you will be asked to leave(unless there is a medical or good personal reason). 5. Are there any issues you wish to discuss? a. Job related i. How do I handle . ii. Resume changes iii. Interviews iv. Letters and thank you notes b. Personal i. Health for you or family member ii. Relationships iii. Good news 6. Other conversations a. We only have a limited time and the more attendees we have, the less time we have to go deep. Bring up the issue and discuss it afterwards b. Dont be afraid to ask for assistance from individuals from the group or myself. After acceptance to the group, if you cannot attend for any reason, call, e-mail, or let someone know that you are not coming.
