Do you have the determination to see an aquatic facility happen within the next 10 years? The Auckland Council Draft Community Facilities Network Plan is open for public feedback NOW. Thanks to your successful submissions, Warkworth has been identified in the plan as an area of new need for an aquatic facility. Now we need Council to assign the budget necessary to make this a reality. We are competing with other areas of need for the same pot of $$$$, so your feedback is needed to keep our project rolling along. 8 years of lobbying has got us this far; dont let it slip away now. We need to show that we can meet the criteria in the plan, which will be helped by our projected population growth, our distance from any suitable alternative, and our significance as a major tourist destination, especially with city dwellers for whom we are just a hop, skip and jump away.
