I competed in my first Im70.3 in Austria last weekend and it truly was one of the best experiences of my life. For years I had a deep fear of water. Even my mother found it difficult to get me in a bath when I was a kid. It put me off wanting to do an ironman as I truly could not face the open water swim. I slowly worked through my fear and signed up for St polten. I asked my local triathlon store the best wet suit for me. I am 66 and 16 stone so needed plenty of flexibility and buoyancy and they suggested the Orca 3.8 On the Saturday before the race we got to go out for practise swim and 100 m in I felt so comfortable and strong in the suit . It made such a difference to my mental state of mind knowing I felt good in the water . Having only been swimming a year I was over the moon with my swim split of 43 min and the suit really contributed to my result A beautiful suit that made me actually feel in some way like a real swimmer :)
