Do you know a mother in Union County whose son or daughter will be serving overseas on this upcoming Mothers Day? Mothers On A Mission and Bonds of Courage, two local non-profits, want to honor these military mothers by bringing them flowers. These women have sacrificed so much for all of us, said Kerry Mooney, founder and president of Mothers on a Mission, a Westfield-based group that raises money for issues related to women and children. These flowers are just a small way to show them their sacrifices are really appreciated, said Mooney. The process is simple, and free of charge. If you know of a mother living in Union County with a child serving overseas, email [email protected] with the mothers full name and address. Mothers On A Mission and Bonds of Courage will and arrange to have flowers or a small plant sent to her in time for Mothers Day.
