Do you know any children with Type 1 diabetes? It is such a struggle going forward for the rest of their lives. Can you imagine having to count every carbohydrate you are going to eat and then adjusting the amount of insulin you need before you eat it, and then giving yourself a shot? All day long, every day! And the constant struggle of trying to balance between "high" and "lows" that can put you into a coma? I do hope we can find a cure ... and soon! Bless these little children, and their families.
