Just visited and noted that: When you dial Vodafone Ghana customer services on 100 (former Ghana Telecom), the recorded voice message prompts you saying For English Language assistance press: One For Akan, press: Two For Ga, press: Three For Hausa, press: Four Here is the breakdown of Ghana’s indigenous language Akuapem Twi, Asante Twi, Dagaare, Dagbani, Dangme, Ewe, Fante, Ga, Guan, Gonja, Kasem, Nzema Now take a look at the breakdown of Ghana’s ethnic groups by population (2010 figures by wiki) Akan – 47.5% (11 million people) Dagbani – 16.6% (4 million people) Ewe – 13.9% (2.9 million people) Ga-Adangbe – 7.4% (1.8 million people) Gurma – 5.7% (0.7 million people) Guan/Gonja – 3.7% (0.3 million people) Gurunsi – 2.5% (0.1 million people) Bissa/Mande and others -- 2.7% (0.2 million people) Does anyone here know why the Ewe language has not been represented? If you feel hard done-by Vodafone Gh (Former Ghana Telecom) then you may cascade this petition down by sharing with friends, with hope the Marketing Manager of Vodafone Ghana will wake up and realise the injustices done and include the Ewe language prompt on their customer services dial. I am sure every Peswa/Cedi from Ewe speaking customers of Vodafone Ghana has counted over the years and it’s about time our voice counts too. I say: Woezor, Welcome, Willkommen
