Do you know what I Love about childrens theatre, namely First Stage Theatre???? It helped give strong voice and presence to my three girls. Two who didnt even end up going into theatre, and one who is still undecided. It reminds me on a daily basis to not take anything too seriously. We are here, we play awhile, and then its time to tear it all down. It keeps my focus on the process, NOT the outcome. It provides a creative outlet in a positive atmosphere. Where else ya gonna find 42 kids ages 5 to 18 excited about coming out on a cold night after a long day at school to sing and pretend together. Kindness comes natural it seems. Through the choosing of Joy, they build each other up instead of tearing one another down. I am constantly being humbled by how much they teach me About life and myself.
