Do you know why Sanskrit is an awesome scientific language. 1. It does not depend on a dictionary. Words can be derived from a few basic words and constructed with ease. 2. It needs no punctuation. You do not require commas, semicolons, acclamation marks to make a sentence unambiguous. 3. Words can be played around with their relative positions without changing the meaning of the sentences. 4. Derivation of words has a striking similarity with the Computer Programming object-oriented constructs. Words are derived by adding properties of the objects. The grammar of Sanskrit is also known to be without comparison. Sir William Wilson Hunter wrote in The Indian Empire: “The grammar of Panini stands supreme among the grammars of the world, alike for its precision of statement and for its thorough analysis of the roots of the language and of the formative principles of words. By applying an algebraical terminology, it attains a sharp succinctness unrivaled in brevity. It arranges in logical harmony the whole phenomenon which the Sanskrit language presents and stands forth as one of the most splendid achievements of human invention and industry. So elaborate is the structure that doubts have arisen whether its innumerable rules of formation and phonetic change, its polysyllabic derivatives, its ten conjugations with its multiform aorist and long array of tenses could even have been the spoken language of a people.”
