Do you listen to J-rock? ヾ(*ΦωΦ)ﾉ Below are two album covers from two visual kei bands that VISITED TORONTO this year, DaizyStripper and Rose Noire! (ΦзΦ) Although both bands have a visual kei style (a focus on visual aesthetics, is what an oversimplification would be), they have very different music styles. DaizyStrippers music is what you would usually expect from a rock band, with a clear-voiced vocalist and remarkable music. Rose Noire, on the other hand, plays with the idea of integrating classical music into more modern styles. They violinist, Jill stands out and adds flavour to their pieces. Their vocalist, Louie, sings with a smooth texture. They will sometimes sing entire songs in English. (ㅇㅅㅇ❀) If you have time, you should listen to Derringer by DaizyStripper (youtube/watch?v=Q5XgG-IXUug) and FEED by Rose Noire (youtube/watch?v=jFV-tPoFC60) d(=^･ω･^=)b These two bands were both performing at Anime North this year, and I was fortunate enough to go to their concert, talk with them, and take pictures with some of them.
