Filmmaker Mohamed Dione spoke exclusively with Face2Face Africa about how returning home with his friend Sanoussy Gallice Jr. Diallo, a musician and activist, spurred the documentary. Quote: For me, the itch to go back home is nostalgia and not having been there in more than 10 years. Ive spent the majority of my life abroad, yet I feel African. I am African. My friends and I just wanted to go back to share our art (films,music), but when we got there, we realized that we had to do more and be more than just artists...we had to be citizens.
