Do you remember Tanner Seebaum? Tanner was a courageous young man who had been fighting a long battle with cancer. Through some mutual friends, we found out that he was a fan of the Whomp Truck, as well as a DJ and a bass music enthusiast. More important than being defined by his illness, he LOVED this electronic music culture that has brought so many of us together and given us the friends, loves, and lives that we have today. Thankfully, we got the chance to meet him and have him throw down a solid set on the Truck at May First Friday in 2013. A couple short months later, he passed peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side. Even in his last moments his mind was on how much he loved this music and culture, talking about DJing and songs he loved. Were proud to have been a small part of that, and were proud to support The Tanner Seebaum Foundation, founded by his parents to support pediatric cancer research. This Saturday - please come out and support this event! At least half of all proceeds will go to The Tanner Seebaum Foundation (supporting pediatric cancer research) and Colorado Youth At Risk, two very worthy organizations.
