Do you want some good news to be happy about? A frequently homeless man that my wife and I have been helping and counseling for seven years called to thank us. He didnt ask for any favors. He has a job. He reports that his two children are in school and doing well, that his wife also has a job. And, importantly, he didnt ask for money or any kind of favor. He even mentioned that he had become interested in having Jesus in his life. I reminded him, You know Bill (not his right name), the latch of the door is on the inside. Jesus knocks (Revelation 3:17) but we have to open. He agreed. Pray with me that this man and others like him will continue and with the help of the Lord, will keep his life stable and productive, as we pray the same for ourselves and our fellow citizens in this country. The Bible compares the Lords people to a building (1 Corinthians 3:10ff.), and of course you cant have a sound and solid building made of shoddy materials that are put together by third rate craftsmen.
