Doc IKECHUKWU REGALS – GOVERNOR 2015 Abia State THE FUTURE IS ALREADY BEGUN These are extraordinary times. And here in our State of Abia we face an extraordinary challenge. Now is the time to lift our State out from Loveless and godless Leadership that belittles our humanity and ravages our social and economic aspirations. My candidacy as Governor of our State is TO PRACTICALLY IMPLEMENT SOLUTIONS THAT INCREASE OUR LIVING STANDARDS AND LIFTS OUR STATE AS A MODEL FOR OTHER STATES TO EMULATE. Educated in the Primary and Secondary School systems of Nigeria and the Higher Institutions of Britain and the United States, I am aware that our living standards here in Abia State leaves much to be desired and that is come about by Careless leadership, not by nature. I am here in service of God and my People to promote and implement “The Service doctrine”. This sums the cause and vision which impel me to seek the office of Governor in service to God and the People of Abia State. I present this cause as a call to action, urging us to evaluate the gap between the principles and our current reality, Let this vision challenge our assumptions, foster our commitment, and provoke us to positive change, because the future is now. The Facts are self-evident throughout our State, that Economic growth has been stifled and neglected; forcing us to scratch the ground daily like Chickens attempting to meet our needs and in most cases live as paupers in our blessed State. We have been denied even the basic necessities that every good Government anywhere is required to provide for the safety and well-being of its People not because we lack the finances to meet these demands collectively. BUT BECAUSE THOSE MANAGING OUR AFFAIRS CONVERT OUR COLLECTIVE MONIES TO THEIR PRIVATE WEALTH WHILE NEGLECTING OUR COLLECTIVE WELL-BEING. It is the role of Government “without excuse” to install and maintain public infrastructures that enhance the Well-being, comfort and Safety of its citizenry. No other role of Government could be considered more important. Government is constituted for the common good to accomplish for the public that which each of us cannot individually accomplish. Like constructing of roads, building streets, hospitals and other tasking projects. GOVERNMENT IS NOT CONSTITUTED TO ENRICH ONE MAN AND HIS FRIENDS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE COMMON GOOD. This is a criminal and treasonable offense. I have a vision to raise Abia State as a shining model in the living standards of our citizens for other states to emulate. Proverbs 29 (18) Where there is no vision, the people perish:.... Resuscitating our dead and dormant industries, facilitating new ones, Innovating upon and overcome the National weakness in Electrical power supply within our State, install and adequately maintain all necessary infrastructures that encourage and enhance commerce throughout the State and instill transparency in Government operations. With this vision in my head and Love (which is God) in my heart; we will lift up our State together, overcome our challenges together, pray to God together, struggle together and rejoice in our victories together, knowing that together in the fear of God and Love for One another there is no task we cannot accomplish. SO HELP US GOD. Now is the time because the future is already begun.
