Does anyone besides me see the absurdity in the argument that unrestricted spending on attack ads in political campaigns is free speech? Are we then to believe that those with the most money have the best candidates,or the best positions on the issues? Arent corporations, who are now defined by our Supreme Court as people entitled to free speech by our 1st Amendment, and their Boards and shareholders, going to spend their speech on candidates who will advocate for policies that benefit the corporations and the shareholders? Since the banksters crashed the economy in 2008, not many of us have even a small position in the stock market through our 401Ks,because the managers and the brokers took their fees and the rest of the money just disappeared. For the rest of us,who havent been disenfranchised by registration and voting restrictions, our best free speech is our vote!! We have to ignore the 4,000 hours of attack ads, find out the truth about the candidates, and VOTE OUR OWN BEST INTERESTS!!
