Does anyone have experience with a dog who gets scared when you leave the house? Our dog Duke has issues with this sometimes. He whines and doesnt eat and gets scared & depressed when leave. He doesnt tear up things though. When we get home, he has to be touching us and cuddle nonstop. He has a dog friend, we have tried leaving for different amounts of time and involving treats, leaving the tv or radio on, leaving toys and bones... We have tried kenneling him at home and the vet and that is not his friend - he gets very sick, poops and throws up for days afterwards. From being at the pound, I think kennels freak him out. So I am searching for any other ideas to help him be happier and more comfortable :)
