Does anyone have experience with foundationless frames in a langstroth? I have one that is doing well, but when I put a new box on top of the very full bottom one, the bees began to build comb from the bottom up! There is a starter strip of wax at the top of each frame, but they completely ignored my direction and made it very difficult to inspect. I ended up scraping the wax off as it was only a few days old and contained only honey. Any suggestions as to how to get the bees to draw the wax down from the top??
