Does anyone know who I would need to pester to try to get some traffic calming elements on my street (W 85, between Lorain and Madison)? Yesterday afternoon, a car going at least 50 mph went airborne after hitting some surface pipes that were there because of a water main replacement. The car took out the fire hydrant in front of my house, half of my fence, half of my neighbors fence, and half of my neighbors neighbors front porch, which is brick. Ive lived on W 85 my whole 26 years and I cant remember a time when cars didnt speed down the street. There is a corner store frequented by many neighborhood kids at the exact spot where the car went airborne. Its a miracle that the only people injured were the people in the car. Im fed up and Id like to do something about it.
