Does one week count as TBT? Dont think so. But last weekend, we had a family reunion of 19 at the beach. Cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents who hadnt all been together except for weddings for ten years showed up! It took some doing. Plans were made nearly ten months earlier. My son the chef took advice from his aunt and created a fabulous German meal one night. On Friday night, we had a seafood/spaghetti extravaganza where everyone pitched in and the leftovers (interspersed with fresh cinnamon rolls from the local bakery) were fab. At night, we played card games or just talked and the TV was nearly never on. During the day, we took care of the grand babies and spent hours on the beach, wading and building sand castles and flying kites in the fabulous weather. It took some planning, adjusting of schedules and effort, but was well worth it! And luckily the weather was perfect. If you can get your family together--do it! Plan it and enjoy! Were hoping to make this an annual event--a decade was just too long to wait!
