Does your church remind you about rapture or judgement? Does it - TopicsExpress

Does your church remind you about rapture or judgement? Does it preach the need for repentance? Adam sinned once and was driven out of the garden, yet we sin everyday. The difference is Grace. What Grace does for us is enable our sins to be forgiven once we repent and ask for forgiveness. A chance Adam and Eve were not given. My dear friends, that is the message of the bible. That is the Grace message that preachers are twisting to make people think they have a license to sin. Now although many preachers will tell you their grace message is not a license to sin, the way they present it CONFUSES the average Christian. So please remember: THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS WITHOUT REPENTANCE. Jesus knows we are not perfect, yet He loves us. Take peter for example. Jesus gave him the keys to heaven, told peter that he would deny Him, yet Peter did. How clear of a warning did Peter need? I mean it wasnt even up to 24 hours after the warning and Peter, the leader, still fell into the trap of the devil. But the difference is that once Peter realized what he had done, he wept and repented and continued his walk for Jesus. Take David as another example. He was called the one after Gods own heart and although He committed many horrible sins, his quickness to repent and ask God for forgiveness sets him apart. Please my brothers and sisters, do not listen to anybody that belittles the need for repentance from sins or the things you do to see that you dont continue sinning. We will fall and God knows that. But each time we fall, instead of being banished from ever entering into heaven and eternal life, we should remember that Jesus has paid the price for our chastisement and the punishment due for our sins. The bible says that God looked around and saw that there was nobody to swear by so He swore by Himself, made a deal with Himself to save us. The grace of God gives us the chance to repent and ask for forgiveness, and our sins will no longer be counted against us. If He tells us to forgive our neighbors 70 times 7 then He is willing and ready to forgive us 1 million times. REPENTANCE, REPENTANCE, REPENTANCE... Please do not forget why we are running this race. Do not let anyone deceive you. Lock your focus on Jesus and follow Him. He is the way, the truth and the life.
