Dogs, kite flyers and other park users:) Its quite a while since I had a dog, however, Im one of the fair few that enjoy kite flying at Ally Pally:) and host on Facebook North London Kite Flyers Kite flyers, with some experience are very responsible and will be dog aware. However its useful for dog owners to be equally kite aware. If a flyer is a new pilot he may not have full control of the kite, yet. Owners should be aware they may need to call their dog away, if a kite is seen as a threat (natural dog habit), or that if a kite is lying on the ground, the lines will be on the grass between the kite and the pilot, and dogs, or people can walk and tangle across them. The safest action is to keep behind the flyer if uncertain, and to keep dogs away from a grounded kite. Grateful to this group for encouraging responsibility for dog walkers and others alike, thankfully over the years Ive been flying Ive had no serious/dog/kite/owner incidents:) Merry Doggy Christmas to all:) James
