Doi Ang Khang is located 163 kilometers from Chaing Mai’s city and it takes about 3 hours by driving. The highest peak is 1300 meters above sea level and it makes a cool weather all year-round. Along the route to Doi Ang Khang, hill tribe villages such as Ban Luang, Ban Khum, An Pang Ma, Nor Lae, Kob Dong and Ban Nong Mai Bua can be visited while driving on the mountain’s slopes. These villages feature an old-fashioned Yunnanese atmosphere. You can see the villagers’ daily life and buy their handicrafts. Other recommended attractions are flower gardens and Bonzai garden. At Bonzai garden, you can see a large collection of Bonsai plants from several regions. At the flower gardens, you will enjoy stunning scenery and burgeoning plant life.
