Donaire trains early for comeback By Edri K. Aznar A DEVASTATING defeat can destroy a boxer’s career. Most boxers are never the same after a brutal loss but it looks like that isn’t the case with Filipino superstar Nonito Donaire Jr. because his knockout defeat in the hands of Nicholas Walters has rather fueled the fire inside of him. “He is very excited. Imagine, he has already started early for his training camp. He is more focused than ever in his career right now,” Nonito Donaire Sr., the father and trainer of Donaire Jr., told Sun.Star Cebu. Advertisement Donaire Jr. suffered his first career knockout loss after being stopped by Walters in the sixth round last Oct. 18 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, USA. “His training is going well. We started last week. I’m very excited to see that his old style of being fast has returned,” said Donaire Sr. Donaire Jr.’s comeback fight is set on March 28 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in an event promoted by ALA Promotions and giant Philippine TV network ABS-CBN. m.sunstar.ph/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fsunstar.ph%2Fcebu%2Fsports%2F2015%2F01%2F25%2Fdonaire-trains-early-comeback-388520#2834
