Dont Talk Fear Still on the topic of guarding our mouth, and what we say, I read this message from my favorite devotional by Kenneth Hagin, and oh, how it blessed me. People, we need to guard what we say or think. Every word we speak/utter is a seed and would bear fruit…law of seed time and harvest! If you speak (sow) fear, you wil harvest fear and torment. So mind your seeds!!! Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.... (Isa. 41:10) Dont confess fear. Some people might say, But what if Im afraid? Well, youre not really afraid if you look at it the way God looks at it. Dare to think like God thinks. Second Timothy 1:7 says, For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. God has not given you a spirit of fear. So begin to confess only what God has given you. Confess, I have a spirit of power that drives away fear. I have a spirit of love. I have a spirit of a sound mind. Fear will tell you, Youre losing your mind. And if you listen to it, you will become fearful, nervous, and distracted. The devil will tell you that youre losing your mind. But dont confess that. Start confessing, I dont have a spirit of fear. God didnt give it to me, and I wont accept it. I have a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Fear comes from the outside to take hold of you. Its not in you if youre a Christian. So dont open the door to the devil. Dont invite him in. Your confession of something creates the reality of it. Thats what I want you to get. If youre going to wait for something to become real before you start believing and confessing it, it will never happen. But when you confess it, then it begins to dominate you. Now there will be battles, because the devil is the god of this world. Hell put every kind of obstacle he can in your way. But every time you win a victory, it gets easier and easier. And after awhile, youll come to the place where every time the devil sticks his head up, youll just start laughing, because you know the way of victory. Confession I dont talk fear. God has not given me a spirit of fear. God has given me the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Therefore, I confess that I have a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. And thats what I have! Thats what becomes a reality in my life.
