Dont get me wrong. Im not against the war or one to even speculate on politics. Please dont be offended. I want to see the movie. Im proud to be an American. Im grateful for our veterans and I truly appreciate of my aunts and uncles and grandparents and friends who serve or have served to protect our freedoms as Americans. However, I believe this picture is a glorification of a man that was clearly troubled. If he truly believes that he did no wrong and could be face to face with his god and that hed be saved, I hope for his sake hes correct and that everyone he killed deserved to die. Thats just my hope. That doesnt matter. He murdered many, many people. Here is a quote from Chris Kyle. ...people ask a lot: Did it bother you killing so many people in Iraq? I tell them, No. And I mean it. The first time you kill someone, you get a little nervous. You think, can I really shoot this guy? Is it really okay? But after you kill your enemy, you see its okay. You say, Great. You do it again. And again. You do it so the enemy wont kill you or your countrymen. You do it until there is no one left for you to kill. Thats what war is. I loved what I did....Im not lying or exaggerating to say it was fun. Something to think about before an outpouring of adoration and devotion to a fallen veteran. Chris Kyle did not die serving our country. He did die at the hands of a lunatic. A veteran. Someone he believed he was fighting to protect. He was murdered by one of his countrymen who was clearly sick, twisted, and in need of serious help. Kyle himself may have prevented the unnecessary deaths of dozens or hundreds or thousands of innocent lives, and for that he should be appreciated and thanked. He may have. He may not have. I do not believe that Chris Kyle was a coward, as some have suggested. He fought for what he believed and that is admirable. To suggest that he did all of what he did all in the name of God or good, however, is insane. He wanted to kill people and chose to do so. This, good, does not make.
