Dont wanna be that doom & gloom dude but I cant help but to reflect on the continual desensitizing of our society. The poisons are candy-coated and death has party theme music. The Grammys, to be sure, are a display of excellence and ignorance! The talent is off the meter. But knowledge of God and His righteousness is no where to be found. Because of the imago dei, glimpses of goodness and acts of kindness peek out but, overall I believe the adversary, who creeps like a roaring lion, is on the scene wreaking havoc. So Luke 17:26-30 comes to mind as I think about the party that one day will end. 26 Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot-they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, 29 but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all- 30 so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. May we preach the gospel with life and lips. It is the power of God to penetrate the hardest heart, draw the most indifferent soul, and bring salvation to lost.
