Dont worry - Dreamscape isnt going all Lucas special edition… however... When we were preparing the final Dreamscape files for VOD, we noticed a compression issue with the CGI tunnel shot. At first we thought it was an encoding error, but it turned out to be part of the original render. (Back during Dreamscapes production, when CGI was a new tool at Chat Noir Productions Ltds, files were rendered as DV-Pal movies and not the Tiff sequences used now.) The decision was made to quickly re-render the shot, to remove the compression. During the process, it was decided to upgrade the shot, both in terms of modelling and lighting.
