Dont you love when a client with a lame horse (for months) FINALLY takes it to the vet 7 weeks after you shod it, and she tells you the vet thinks the horse is sore because the toes are long and the nails are too high? She was scheduled to do this week, but put it off because it was ONLY 6 weeks ago you were out here, and we are not riding as much. So, she sends me pics of her horse, and I know darn well what it looks like, and says, See how long the toes are? (Are you ready to schedule? Do you have x-rays? May I talk to your vet?) No, I dont want to waste money on x-rays. You just need to use lower nails and fix the toes. (HELLOOOO? ARE WE GOING TO SCHEDULE YOU????? Are you sure the clips arent bothering the horse, too? Did the vet comment on clipped handmade shoes crippling your horse that has been sore long before I started shoeing her, or would it be your lack of timely scheduling?) I need to go to my quiet place now....
