Dooley Outdoor Equipment Company is a reintroduction to Kayaking and Surfing Accessories born in 1985 with the founding of Sierra River Works. SRW was one of the founding neoprene sprayskirt manufactures in the era when plastic kayaks first were introduced and whitewater kayaking was ready to take the next step in performance and durability. Based of the original “Manhole” spraycover, (designed by Tom Johnson and Bob Thomas, famous for developing the first plastic rotomold kayak, composite paddles and neoprene sprayskirt) the SRW covers were further developed and custom made for each individual kayak cockpit shape and kayaker waist size for a perfect fit and seal between paddler and boat by SRW. Later the forming of Sinister Aquatic Surfboards in 1995. With the love of the outdoors and wild bodies of water in particular, Dooley Outdoor Equipment Company is reforming these companies in a traditional style, with classic surfing and my kayaking heritage as a foundation for my designs and attitude. We will remain small and individual based to insure top quality, customer service and satisfaction. Our opening line of accessories will consist of Dooley Paddling Works Mitts with Sprayskirts, Hatch and Travel covers to follow with Dooley Surfworks Surfboards and Board socks as well.
