Dori E. Payne, 40, beloved wife and mother, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born November 28, 1973 in Biloxi, MS. She was a Christian. She worked in day care and loved babies and children. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Chris Payne; daughter, Taylor Payne of Owensboro; son, Jacob Payne of Owensboro; mother, Peggy Tanner Spencer of Owensboro; father, Felix Cortez of Waco, TX; twin sister, Michelle Payne (Timmy) of Owensboro; and brother, Joseph Tanner of Owensboro. Services are 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial is in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
