Download reviews on the bands I watched.(out of 10) Friday.......HANG THE BASTARD-not seen before.good sound and had good following being in the Pepsi tent.7/10. DOWN - again not seen before,but knew Phil Anselmo was lead singer and was interested in their sound.Quite impressed and Phil also commented on seeing Pantera t-shirts in the large crowd.8/10. KORN - entertaining set,again not seen before.Big following on main stage.8/10. CONVERGE - huge gathering in the Pepsi tent.loud,fast and wild.8/10. SLIPKNOT - even having to stop twice on safety grounds(barriers collapsed)they performed to their max.equally impressed as it poured with rain again during physcosocial as it did at sonisphere a few years back.10/10 Saturday.....IDIOM - seen before at Weymouth supporting Skindred,must admit,they almost raised the tent from its moorings.Absolutely wild!!!!!!! 9.5/10 MASTODON - first time seeing live.had few comments they were not good live,however this set put pay to that,they were awesome.little interaction between songs,just played their songs.9.5/10 ALICE IN CHAINS - seen now a few times and they are just as good.more mellow than metal,but entertaining all the same.8/10. BURY TOMORROW - local guys from Southampton and seen before at smaller venue.good set with a decent following.7/10 QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE- seen from a car park thru a door in Reading a few years back.They were excellent,playing a contrast of old and new stuff.highly recomended to see on up-coming tour.9.5/10 SUNDAY.....SACRED MOTHER TONGUE - seen several times around Southampton recently.Andy James must be one of the best shredders playing.Blinding solos etc.very good following for sunday openers on main stage.8/10. MORDECI - listened while having a coffee,not bad at all,decent crowd in the Red Bull tent.7/10. BLACK DOGS-fast and furious for a short set.interesting and worth a second look in the future.7/10 BLEED FROM WITHIN-seen before at local venues over the last few years.Come on very well,have big following.plenty of crowd interaction and fast and furious.8/10 FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH- first time live,absolutely nailed it.Ivan had youngsters up on stage and 1 even knew the words to the song.love to see them again.great energy and massive following.9/10 RAMMSTEIN - only need one word for this.........BREATHTAKING.....nuff said.11/10.
