Downs confirm Mahachi trial Today Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that they have given their blessing to Kudakwashe Mahachi to attend trials with French club Monaco. The winger was signed by Sundowns whilst on their Zimbabwe tour in January, but remained behind as the reigning PSL champions had exhausted their foreign quota. Monaco since made the Warriors prospect an offer to try out with them, but the Brazilians are not pressing the panic button just yet. The trial has been set for after the World Cup, when the pre-season kicks off, Sundowns communications coordinator Thulani Thuswa explained to Kick Off. Mahachi is a good player and we all know that it shouldnt take more than a week before they make a decision. The 20-year-old joined his new team-mates during the visit of Namibia where they played an exhibition, but returned to Highlanders to see out the remainder of his six-month deal.
