Dr Don: I certainly take caution to jump to conclusions about coincidences rather than making silly leaps that they have prophetic significance. However, I did experience some spiritual insight recently when I heard the song, Walking in Memphis, in three different stores. It was playing over the speaker system as background music, and I was thinking that I hadnt heard that song for a long time. I dont know the song, of course, but the phrase, walking in Memphis was pretty predominant in the experience. I looked up the words... Marc Cohn, who wrote and performed this hit, says, Its a pretty literal transcription of a visit I made there in 1986. I went to Graceland, I heard Al Green preach the gospel, I saw W. C. Handys statue. But the song is about more than just a place, its about a kind of spiritual awakening, one of those trips where youre different when you leave. He certainly didnt mean to imply that he is writing about being a born again believer, but the impact of the place and experience left him changed. I prophesy this to Memphis. A city of transformation that releases transformation!
