Dr. Gregory Fricchione, Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School and Director of the Benson Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at MGH, will be speaking on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 4:00PM in the Shapiro Breakout Room (Shapiro Building, 1st Fl, Brigham and Womens Hospital). Dr. Fricchione’s presentation title is: “Mind Body Enhancement of Resiliency.” Please save the date on your calendar. Dr. Fricchione received his M.D. from New York University School of Medicine in 1978 and did his residency and chief residency in psychiatry at NYU-Bellevue. He is board certified in psychiatry and has added qualifications in psychosomatic medicine and geriatric psychiatry. He has taught in the medical schools at New York University, Stony Brook University of NY, the University of Auckland in New Zealand and at Emory University as well as at Harvard Medical School. From 1993 to 2000 he served as the Director of the Medical Psychiatry Service at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. During a 2000-2002 leave of absence from HMS, Dr Fricchione worked for former President Carter and Mrs. Rosalynn Carter serving as Director of the Mental Health Program at The Carter Center in Atlanta, GA. ♡
