Dr. Kenzie & Dr. Justyce giving Punkin a look over this morning. PETA has contacted us via email and is requesting information on our story. This is great! We hope their organization will offer us some help and guidance. Fingers Crossed. We having given Punkin his round of medications this morning, and I think he will be happy once we dont have to do that anymore. Who wouldve thought cats hated bubblegum flavor medication to much? He still hasnt had a bowel movement, and as of right now our vet has recommended we hold off for another day or so in manually emptying it. He is urinating, which is going well and not so well. He isnt emptying his bladder all at once, and more or less has a constant drip. The vet is worried this may cause infections and is adamant about us continually cleaning him. This is a constant effort. I am cleaning him roughly every 15-30 minutes and he isnt found of you touching that area. Although, he is in a lot of pain, and very uncomfortable he is rubbing against us, and purring through the whole process. There have been no improvements on his mobility. Our vet has told us not to expect much change for a week. His spine is very inflamed and swollen. We pray once this goes down, mobility (even partial) will return.
