Dr. Myles Munroe was one of my spiritual mentors, and the news of his passing is tragic. While Im deeply saddened by the sudden death of Dr. Munroe, his wife, and all the other great Kingdom builders who died in this place crash on yesterday, I choose to focus on the legendary leader Dr. Myles Munroe was, the enormous legacy he has left, and the transformational impact he made on the Kingdom of God. His life was dedicated to building leaders and training leaders to become an agent of change. He believed that our greatest discovery in life is self-discovery, and until we find ourselves we will always be someone else. He said this against the background of his conviction that the entire reason we were all created is for leadership. He often used the analogy of A Seed when teaching on leadership. He would say there is a tree in every seed, and that the tree in every seed has a gift and this gift is its fruit. He would also say each human is born as a seed having the Leadership Spirit but we must learn the Spirit of Leadership, which is a process. Dr. Myles Munroes mission was focused on coaching people on how to transition from Seed to Tree, and from Tree to Forest, which would invariably ensure that we dont go to the grave without fulfilling our purpose in life. His impact has changed lives, nations, and indeed the world. It would be remiss of me to not mention that this man also epitomised what it means to be a balanced individual. He wasnt so heavenly minded that he was of no earthly good. He taught balance and lived a balanced life. One of the statements he made which still resonates with me strongly is when he said, My family is my greatest responsibility and my marriage my most sacred trust. Im a firm believer that the greatest loss in life is not dying, oh no. The greatest loss is what dies inside of us while we are still alive. I am happy about the fact that the graveyard can make no claim on the value and wealth of Dr. Munroes gifts and purpose simply because he served his gifts and purpose to the world while he lived. His legacy transcends his earthly life and will continue for many years to come. May the God of all grace give comfort, peace, strength, courage, and healing to the family, friends and all those connected in some way to Dr. Myles Munroe, his wife and the others souls who passed as a result of this plane crash. God is in control, and there is no end to the reign of His Kingdom. - George Allwood Pictures of Dr. Myles Munroe, and his wife Ruth can be seen below:
