To start with, we need to do something about the so-called ‘career politicians’; their careers made out of scheming and plotting to stay in power or to regain it once lost. They are in politics for themselves,and the idea of public service has now evaporated. They have lost touch with reality and thus feel no guilt in abusing their expense allowances. Archaic laws, many of them dating back to our colonial past, should be consigned to oblivion because all they do is give corrupt government officers a handle to bully and extort. I will fulfil my work responsibilities and push agendas that are benevolent to the council and the public at large. I am approachable and friendly and love to talk to people.
