Dr.Reyaz Wani Consultant Anaesthesia.....is no more but his memories has put an impact in my mind to remain humble helping in any circumstances. How once I introduced myself to Him?.....A terror we saw & experienced together. I was J Resident & was posted to look after open Heart surgery patient in SKIMS as one of the team personal.You know Duties of Doctors are always tough and we were awake till 2am.During midnight sudden firing started from backside in SICCU in 1993 and I felt unconscious for 10minutes.Dr.Reyaz Wani was first to make me conscious of the fact that you are alright Encouraged me said you are alive.They hit other Patient for some conflicts between militants themselves i reacted and inquired about my patient.He laughed at me.I know bulits went above your head and fell down from a table too.He massaged my arm and asked now go and sleep in S.R room.I couldnt sleep but later spent all time with me till change over.He always inquired me where ever he used to see me made me to smile and laugh.He was bold caring A great humanatarian Encouraging always.I am emotional to feel we have a great loss on his death due to Laryngeal Cancer and metastasis to vital organs.May Allah bless his Soul! Let us realise that our life is transient and let we dedicate continuously it for humanatrian services.Pray for the departed soul..Please
