Dr. Whos real name is Calum Aonghas MacDhòmhaill, the reason he bites his tongue and keeps it to himself is because he knows that the Sasannach will not be able to pronounce it, or they will claim it is from a dead and inferior language, that he is from a race of people whose principle engagements involve fighting with large swords, distilling whisky and raising livestock. If he insists, they will burn his house down and force him to get on a ship bound for North America or Australia. Upon which his descendants will promptly forget where they came from, his culture and language (which survived since the bronze age) within one generation, and instead worship football & NASCAR and stuff their faces with shite fast-food.
