Dream Scheme for Bentham Youth Cafe A committed and enthusiastic team of young people from Bentham Youth Cafe is taking part in this year’s ‘Dream Scheme’ project in the Craven Area. ‘Dream Scheme’ is an initiative funded by Yorkshire Housing, enabling young people to volunteer in their own community. After several different tasks the young people are funded to go on a trip - a fitting reward for all their hard work. Local Youth Development Worker, Lenny, turned up to help Sue, Ian and a group of 10 young people on the first day of their project. Tasks included washing toys for the local toddler group, making arts and crafts items to sell, and gardening. The group chatted away and worked hard all morning… Only four more days to do and then a bowling trip to enjoy! Who said the summer holidays dragged on???
