Dreaming about Bears My interpretation of dreams about Bears. I have been thinking of the Bears you were talking about. I also have been thinking of the association, you, bears, and west. It is my association with an older age, like the seasons, autumn or next to winter. To me it would be like my ¾ of my life, If you were older than it would be different, but to you life has just begun. So we have to take another look at this. I don’t like to hurry but like to think and let the spirit roam throughout everything trying to gather information that might be helpful. The spirit of the bear or the spirit of the west wind is the bear we have to think of what this bear is doing? He is entering into his cave to hibernate and sleep through winter or is so mixed up with the seasons that he keeps coming out where but in your mind. The bear leads you or us into the dream world and that’s another aspect, he keeps hanging around to help you enter into your dream world. He helps us remember dreams and reminds us that dreams are important and spiritual. You might have opened your spirit to the bear or the power of the west to learn to dream while you are awake, which I call visions. It helps us to sense the mythical, spiritual, and think of our everyday experiences, the way we look at your puzzled life and want to put it back together. I think that the Black Bear may be your Totem. He is more prevalent in the East maybe that is why you came east. What I mean by this is that sometimes we have to turn around and go in the opposite direction to realize which direction we are going. You have to learn from the past to present the future to our inter-most self. I feel you are struggling with this problem. You don’t want to make the mistake of continuing on in this Easterly direction because it is something you want to take a quick glance at and then return to your main objective and that is heading West again. I think eventually that you will be heading west sooner than you think. Sometimes go out and face the west and feel the west winds in your face and feel the energy that is calling to you. You need to realize that the west has the color of Black. Were any of the Indians that you were riding with have their faces painted black? I think that you should think of this: Think of it as traveling through life with a great light shining around you and all you can see is what is within the circle of light that surrounds you. What are you doing with your life, are you afraid to step out of the circle and expose yourself to the darkness? You have to be brave to seek the darkness. Sometimes the greatest beauty is hidden in the darkness and sometimes parts of our lives are hidden there also. Black or darkness absorbs all frequencies of light and it does make sense that you need to see if you are seeking to be illuminated or see what is within yourself. For example if you go in a bright room and hold up a candle, what can you see, actually nothing more that you saw before you lit the candle, then go into a dark room and light the candle, you may see everything in your life, maybe the problems lie in that room and maybe other avenues of approach to the problem, maybe the answer to the problem. You need to know that life is a balance of opposites. It seems that you are torn between these opposites and need to seek balance. Remember you are normal, I am just like this also, All things, and even humans (divine mortals-eternal) have a light and shadow side. Maybe your shadow side is haunting you? That is what white men say of having skeletons in their closets. I could go on and on and let my mind roam even more but it is tiring but yet it is exciting to feel out the presence of spiritual aspects of other humans. I will try to speak or think of more of this later if you like. There is another spiritual value of the Pond, which is important also. It is the Element of Water. The pond was a very important aspect in your dream. But later for that. Have you ever thought of the Lakota tent and how it is constructed etc. It is all spiritual and we must learn to pass by earthly things and try looking at the dreams as spiritual. Everything is spiritual even you and I, you must have had a reason to search me out in this great land. I feel connectivity to all spirits, you just need some guidance, whether you accept it or not. I also have had a bad life but I am thankful for every incident that happened to me, I have taken it and have grown. I thank my enemies for having taught me to them. I will leave you with this thought, if we are not going forward then you are going backwards whether it is physically or spiritually.
